The Best All-Around Game Headphone

HyperX Cloud Flight Wireless Gaming Headset

Kingston HyperX颶風二代黑鷹電競遊戲耳機

Three years later, we finally changed it. A bit, since 2014, our official gaming headset recommendation is Kingston’s HyperX cloud – original, no surname, just cloud. “It’s very comfortable, it sounds good, and most importantly, it’s relatively cheap,” as I wrote about its virtues.

This is still true. The original HyperX Cloud is still an amazing headset, almost always sold at around 600. I highly recommend it.

Still, HyperX has finally surpassed itself, the 2017 HyperX Cloud Alpha or “HyperX Cloud III”, as I said in my mind. That’s why I said that we “have somehow changed things” – Alpha is just an upgrade to the original cloud in many ways.

The core design hasn’t changed much, which means that Alpha brings the same combination of durability and comfort, making me fall in love with its predecessor. Still, there are some high quality upgrades such as detachable wiring and easier to use volume and mute controls.

It sounds great too. HyperX applies it to Alpha’s dual-chamber technology, which separates the mid-frequency and high-frequency bass frequencies. This may be the case, or it may be a gimmick – I discussed it in more detail in our comments. Either way, the result is that Cloud Alpha sounds better or better than other, more expensive competitions, and this time the bass boost is slightly more. (Please read our full review.)

HyperX Cloud Alpha is an excellent headset. If it doesn’t feel so worth noting in 2017, it’s just because after three years of cloud computing, HyperX is a mature player rather than a loser – and other companies are still trying to match the quality of Clouds with cloud computing. ,price. We will see the results in 2018.

The Most Cost-Effective Game Headset

ASTRO Gaming A10 Gaming Headset

Astro A10 有線藍芽耳機

Surprisingly, a company that currently competes with HyperX in the low-end are Astro. Ironically, because the price of headphones has been declining over the past few years, Astro is in a strong position in the top market – its low-end headset A40 is still around $1,000 at the low end, while the high-end wireless A50 (we choose Luxury goods) around 2,000 yuan.

But in 2017, Astro introduced the entry-level headset A10. Very entry level, the price is about 400 yuan. This is slightly higher than our previous recommendation for HyperX, Cloud Assassin – still a great headset. I think the Astro A10 is cheaper.

There will definitely be compromises to reach this price. The A10 offers some design inspiration from the more expensive siblings, but it’s a bit complicated, with a gray base and minimal decoration. It is also 100% plastic, which does not help to eliminate the feeling of cheap.

Although A10 has its important place, it sounds good. Of course, we are talking about “very suitable for headphones around 400 yuan”, but still. The A10 offers a clean midrange and rich bass that can almost mimic the sound of Astro’s expensive headphones, and can only be seen in the details. I would like to add that the details of most listeners may not notice daily affairs. (Please read our full review.)

This is an excellent entry-level headset that is worth considering – as long as you can look at its bland look.

The best low-end wireless gaming headset

CORSAIR Void PRO RGB Wireless Gaming Headset

Corsair has built a very healthy niche market for itself at the low end of the wireless market. The new VOID RGB RPO is priced at around 700, just like its predecessor, and even today’s standards are incredibly bargain-priced – about 350 cheaper than any competitor.

This is a pretty good headset. Virtual professional wireless requires a headband that is accustomed to the shape of a diamond and a headband that is tilted toward the head. It’s a positive design, but it’s more comfortable than it looks – almost comfortable, keeping the head slightly stressed so it’s easy to slip, not ideal.

Despite this, I would rather have a headset too loose and not want to put my head on a sub-handle. In addition to this small problem, the design of the Void Pro Wireless is solid. The oversized controls for volume, power and microphone mute are easy to find, while Corsair’s RGB lighting is first class (although it can be used to disable 4 hours of battery life).

Audio is the only weakness of Void Pro Wireless, and you might think that this is not a big weakness for headphones. The play is very bright, with a mix of minor and treble that sounds long and sounds tired. You can’t do too much for the first one, but spend some time with EQ to ease the latter – I recommend adding some bass and lowering the treble.

At least Corsair has improved the microphone. This used to be the weak link of this headset, but the new Void Pro Wireless microphone is finally comparable to its competitors, with less background noise and clearer sound.

Listen, I won’t say that Void Pro Wireless is a fantastic headset. No. But for most people this is enough, and for around 700 and wireless

What about the network? This is what you can ask for.

Best mid-range wireless gaming headset

Logitech G533 Wireless Gaming Headset

羅技(Logitech)G533 7.1無線環繞聲 遊戲耳機

Logitech G933 and its brother successor Logitech G533 replaced our previous mid-range wireless product – Logitech G933, which was a tough decision. Like, very difficult.

The G933 is an excellent headset with crisp, balanced audio and some beautiful design features (such as the ability to store a USB dongle in the headset).

In some ways, I would say that the G933 is a better headset than the G533.

But I am still replacing it. why? Then aesthetics is a huge reason. If you want to know how Logitech’s design language has changed over the past year or so, check out the G933 and G533. The G933 is a sharp angle and science fiction. On the other hand, G533 is stylish, professional and restrained. Using a piano black surface and a soft curve, it looks like a headset made by Audio-Technica or Sennheiser or a more mainstream audio company – not necessarily a “game” headset, I like it. The design of the G533 is also very practical. The microphone is not as hidden as I thought, but it is the only flaw. The headset is lightweight, durable and lighter than the previous one.

As for audio fidelity? This is not the same as G933, but the difference is small. G533 lacks a light point, especially in the case of small size, 7.1 support is insufficient.

Although these are not for good reasons, most people will use headphones large enough to counter the lack of headphones. Virtual 7.1 (in my opinion) is almost always bad. The G533 is worse than the average, but the average is still the daily thing I choose to avoid.

In any case, the G933 is still on sale, which is a great option for some people, especially if you want console support. The G533 is limited to PCs, while the G933 can be connected to other devices via a 3.5mm cable. If you value comfort more than audio fidelity, check out SteelSeries Arctis 7, which is another good choice, and G533 is our official mid-term wireless recommendation.

The most luxurious gaming headset

ASTRO Gaming A50 Wireless Dolby Gaming Headset

Astro A50 全新三代 無線耳機

Two gladiators, locked in the eternal battle. That’s the case with Astro and SteelSeries, which have been buying 3,000 yuan in headphones over the years – but there have never been any clear winners. In 2018, the two companies battled again, this time with the mature Astro A50 and the new and improved SteelSeries Arctis Pro Wireless.

Ok, Astro: A50 is now a few years old, but it’s still a great wireless headset. The biggest improvement Astro has made in the latest update is the battery, overcoming the long-standing weaknesses and packaging for 12 to 15 hours – enough to get you through the long day of the game. More importantly, it has a gyroscope in the ear that can detect if you have a gyroscope set up. It will automatically turn off after 10 seconds, if it is, it will automatically turn off, then turn it on again and connect to your PC. Its base station also acts as a charger, a perfect combination of functionality and aesthetics.

What makes it stand out is the few troubles of the winner. For beginners, the A50 uses the 5GHz band, which means the range is not very large. Even sitting next to my computer, I occasionally notice interference. The built-in battery also means that if you forget to charge, you can’t connect it to your computer with a MicroUSB cable when you play the game. Although this audio is quite good and better than Arctis Pro Wireless, it is still easily surpassed by headphones of around 2,500 yuan.

SteelSeries Arctis Pro Wireless Gaming Headset

 賽睿(SteelSeries) Arctis Pro寒冰 電競遊戲耳機

Yes, SteelSeries has a place on the list, and the new Arctis Pro Wireless collides with its predecessor, Siberia 800. Although the Astro A50 sounds better, this headset has always been my favorite – mainly because of its battery system. Instead of charging the battery in the headset, Arctis Pro Wireless allows you to exchange between two removable packages. One can power up the headset for up to 12 hours while the other is charging on the base station side. There is no way to drain the battery during the game.

The base station is also functional, allowing you to instantly adjust EQ, chat mix and other audio adjustments with a simple OLED display. No software is required. SteelSeries also narrows the gap in audio fidelity. Although Astro still has an advantage, Arctis Pro Wireless sounds much better than its Siberian 800 predecessor.

The SteelSeries leads in comfort. The Sibera 800 is a very simple headset design. Arctis Pro Wireless is finally based on the SteelSeries’s floating headband, with comfortable ski goggles and large ear pads, perfect for all-day wear. The A50 is also comfortable in its own way, but the Arctis design is probably one of the best earphone designs ever. Overall, the A50 leads the way in sound quality, while the Siberian 800 is leading the way in ease of use and comfort, plus the above charging method. With more and more excellent headphones in the range of around 1,000 yuan, it is difficult to prove that any one of them has more than doubled – they are definitely not twice. But in any case, the battle on this top spot will continue into the future.

How do we test

We tested the headset in a few weeks, sometimes even longer. In some cases, longer time – I have used a pair of Astro A50s as drivers for many years and insist on their quality and durability. Our ranking is based on the following criteria:

Design/comfort:Obviously, you need a headset that suits you and doesn’t shrink in half when you first use it. The headset has undergone rigorous and super-scientific testing, “I often bend over to see if it looks very durable”, and with the internationally recognized “I wear it for eight hours, it doesn’t make me headache or make my ears feel like it is Sandpaper “baseline.

Sound:There will always be people who say, “Why buy a decent headset and a separate microphone to buy a gaming headset?” These people are right, but they are a bit unimportant. There are some things to say about products that perform so well when watching movies/listening to music while playing games. After all, I think most people want to equip their computers with a pair of headphones instead of multiple pairs of headphones for different tasks.

With this in mind, we tested headphones in a variety of games (Battlefield 4, Rainbow Six Besieged City) while listening to music and watching videos to ensure you get a decent all-round experience. These are not necessarily studio-grade headphones, but that doesn’t mean it should sound like all bass.

Price:How much are you willing to pay for gaming headphones? This is a purely subjective question, but this is what we are trying to keep in mind. Our best all-around option is a bargain of less than 1000, but if you want to spend 3,000 on Astro for a pair of A50, we won’t stop you.
